The Best of Times...

Art Director of PlanSponsor, Soojin Buzelli, called me for an assignment about investing in difficult times. It may look bad, but it may also be a perfect time to make a big play. The hard piece of visual communication for this concept is clearly showing that the small boat is going UP the waterfall, not going DOWN it BACKWARDS. Also, I left a small bit of smoke below the crop that could be included in the body copy.

Very nice steamboat-going-up-the-waterfall illustration! I went to South when you did and remember your "early work"...don't make me whip out an old Treaty! Nice work.

Wow, what a GREAT solution. I got it immediately without even reading the text. THIS... is the power of visual communication by an awesome illustrator. Should be on the cover of TIME.

If you have seen my book "Abe Lincoln Crosses a Creek" you'll figure out how I got so good at drawing water. Anyone can learn when you draw it when it appears on 90% of 18 spreads!

Thanks John, will you go ahead and let TIME know about your decision as well.

Man, this is a great illustration! It not only states the content instantly, it shines like the idol in Raiders!

I appreciate anyone who uses a ROTLA reference in their compliments!
